من القبيات الى مرجعيون، دروب جبلية لبنانية، مقسمة الى 26 منطقة، تستطيع ان تمشيها كلها او بضعا منها. موقع الدرب اللبناني يقدم لك الخرائط والدليل  الى مغامرة جبلية لبنانية فريدة من نوعها. وتمر الدروب بمناطق ريفية وزراعية فيها تتعرف على الطبيعة اللبنانية بطريقة بيئية من دون الاضرار بالمزروعات وبنفس الوقت تحصل على اتصال باهالي القرى التي لا يزال قاطنوها محافظين على البيئة الجبلية اللبنانية التي الهمت كل الادباء والشعراء المحليون والباحثون المستشرقون.

يحتوي الدليل على خرائط المشي وعناوين كل الاشخاص الذين يستطيعون العمل كدليل على الدروب الجبلية وايجاد اماكن للمبيت والحصول على الطعام البلدي، وبيض مقلي وخضراوات طازجة من قلب الطبيعة اللبنانية. الموقع لا يدير النشاطات ولكن يقدم لك المعلومات ويقدم لك امكانية المساهمة في تشجيع السياحة البيئية. وصحيح ان الهدف هو تقديم المعلومات الى اللبنانيون المتحدرون من اصل لبناني الذين يودون التعرف الى طبيعة بلادهم او الى السياح المهتمين، لكن المشروع مهم جدا حتى للبنانيون الذين يريدون لمس اليد أهمية التنوع البيئي والجغرافي والمناخي والزراعي في بلادنا الذي يتعرض للتصحر والاهمال لطبيعته.

The Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT), the first long-distance hiking trail in Lebanon! The LMT extends from Qbaiyat in the north of Lebanon to Marjaayoun in the south, a 440-km (275 miles) path that transects more than 75 towns and villages at altitude ranging from 1,000 meters to 1,800 meters (about 3,000-5,400 feet) above sea level. The LMT showcases the natural beauty and cultural wealth of Lebanon’s mountains and demonstrates the determination of the people of Lebanon to conserve this unique heritage. The trail brings communities closer together and expands economic opportunities in rural areas through environmentally- and socially-responsible tourism. To date, more than 50 municipal councils, 20 community-based organizations and national NGOs, and hundreds of volunteers and youth have mobilized to clear, upgrade, and blaze the trail. We look forward to seeing you on the trail soon!

Entrance Fees
The Committee for the AraMusic festival have decided to take all fees off and allow all visitors a free entrance. This is to encourage people to come to Lebanon and visit our festival, also to encourage the Lebanese to come to Tannourine and get to know their great heritage music and traditions.

 حين يتحدّث البعضُ عن النُخبة يظـنّها جنساً مُجتمعيّاً مميَّزاً، ويَضعُها آليّاً في مواجهةِ الشعب (متفوِّقة عليه) والطاقمِ السياسيّ (أكفأ منه)، في حين أنّ النخبةَ تنتمي إلى كلّ فئات الشعبِ وطبقاته. ولا قيمةَ إضافية للنخبة إلا مِقدار ما تساهمُ في التقدِّم العام وتلتزمُ مسؤوليةَ نهضةِ المجتمع. النُخبةُ ليست طبقةً بل نوعيّة، والنُخبويّ ليس مُبشِّراً بل قُدوة.

بين أفضلِ عشرِ شخصيات نُخبويّة اختارها الفرنسيّون العامَ الماضي، لم يَرِد اسمُ أيِّ شخصيّة سياسيّة مع أنّ السياسيّين الفرنسيّين، عموماً، نخبويّون بامتياز. بَرز طاهٍ وكاتبٌ وموسيقار وتقنيّ ومهندس معماري وفنّانٌ تشكيلي ومُخرج سينمائي. وعام 2006، صنّفت مجلةُ فوربس Forbes العالمية الطاهي الفرنسي ألان دوكاس Alain Ducasse ضُمن أهمِ مئةِ شخصٍ مؤثّرين في العالم.

النخبة إذن متعدِّدةُ الطاقاتِ والمستويات وعابرةُ كلّ المهن: هناك النخبُ الفقيرة والغنيّة، الأكاديميّة والنقابيّة. هناك النخب التقليديّة والتجديديّة، الدينيّة والعَلمانيّـة. هناك النخب الشعبيّة والبورجوازيّة، المدينيّـة والمناطقيّة. هناك النخب اليمينيّة واليساريّة، العسكريّة والأمنيّة. هناك نخبٌ تَستهويها السياسةُ سبيلاً إلى عملٍ وطنيّ، وأخرى تتلهّف إلى السياسة شَغفاً بوجاهة. هناك نخبٌ تحبّ الشأن العامَّ كجُزءٍ من عملٍ اجتماعيٍّ وإنساني، وأخرى تُفضِّل الشأن الخاص رافداً يَصبُّ في الازدهار العام. وهناك “نخبٌ” تَجتَرُّ أنانيّتَها ونرجسيّتَها وتعيش في عالمٍ آخر: نيرفانا التفاهة.

Gibran translated Blake’s “Innocence and Experience” into a “Tear and a Smile.” Nevertheless, the unending drama of human existence unfolds itself in the pages of both men. Only the elected and gifted soul is capable of creativity, of reading the world differently, and of rebelling against evil clothed in a lamb’s garment. Art knows no boundaries. It transcends all national limits and is only satisfied with the universal. There, time and place lose their ability to imprison the artist in a closed cell. The inspired poet becomes a winged soul floating over life, embracing the infinite. It is in the midst of this vast expanse where the responsibility of the artist becomes eternal and his mission turns holy that we can speak of Kahlil Gibran and William Blake together.*

 نتذكَّر هنا تعريف الأديب الخالد جبران خليل جبران لشعراء الزجل بأنهم “شعراء فطرة .. يسكبون أرواحهم في كؤوس جديدة” نقرُّ ونعترف للشاعرين العملاقين جوزيف الهاشم (زغلول الدّامور وجوقته) و موسى زغيب (رئيس فرقة خليل روكز) بأنهما علمان كبيران في تاريخ الشعر الشعبي اللبناني سطَّرا مرحلة خالدة وأكملا طريقاً ذهبية النواصي كان قد بدأها أمراءُ الزجل منهم على سبيل المثال رشيد نخلة، خليل روكز، أسعد سابا، إيليا أبو شديد، أمين الريحاني، جبران خليل جبران، أسعد الخوري الفغالي ميشال طراد وأسعد السبعلي، وسعيد عقل ..

دون أن ننسى بالطبع أن روّاد الزَّجل في لبنان منذ أكثر من أربعة قرون هم سليمان العكَّاري والمطران جبرائيل القلاعي والبطرك يوسف العاقوري وآخرون وقد كتب هؤلاء بالسريانية وأرَّخ بعضهم أحداث لبنان شعراً.

يوم عانى لبنان ما عاناه في الامم المتحدة لاثبات كرامة الانسان، وحقوقه ، وحرياته الأساسية، في الاعلان العالمي لحقوق الانسان ، بصيغته الفريدة الرائعة ، كانت اعماق الوجود اللبناني هي التي تنطق بافواه ممثليه. أن قصة هذه المعاناة لم تكتب بعد ، وهي ، في خفاياها وأسرارها الكيانية، لن تكتب ابداً.

يبدأ الاعلان العالمي لحقوق الانسان كما يلي : ” أما وان الاعتراف بكرامة الانسان المتأصلة في كيان أعضاء الأسرة البشرية جميعاً ، وبحقوقهم المتساوية ، التي لا انتزاع لها عنهم ، انما هو أساس الحرية والعدل والسلم في العالم…”

وتقول مادته الأولى : ” يولد البشر كلهم أحراراً ، متساوين ،في الكرامة وفي الحقوق ، وقد وهبوا عقلاً وضميراً ، وعليهم أن يعامل بعضهم بعضاً بروح الاخاء .”

والحق انه لولا هذه الكرامة وهذه الحقوق ، ولولا هذه الحرية وهذه الاخاء ، ولولا هذا العقل وهذا الضمير، لما كان لبنان ، ولا تمكن أن يتحدى الازمنة والعصور حياة وديمومة .

Notre Dame University has launched a new series, the Murex Series, under the headline Lebanon by Lebanese authors.

It is basically made up of selected works by great Lebanese authors ranging from literary to political to social and historical writings about Lebanon. The books are translated and published in an elegant cover that bears the slogan of the Murex connotatively and denotatively.

This project was introduced in 2003 and is ongoing with the publication of an average of one or two books per year.

A great poet who joined in his works classicism, romanticism, and symbolism in an individual style of writing founded on a pyramid of originality, innovation and aesthetics.

His prose is known for its ingenuity. He is to Lebanon a symbol of splendor, joy and pride. He worked as a teacher and journalist and called for the adoption of the Lebanese colloquial language in Latin letters, which he used to publish Yara (poetry) and Lubnaan (newspaper).

He is the founder of the party of Al Tabadou-iyyah Al Loubnaniah (The Lebanese Genius) and co-founder of the Front of Freedom of Man.

He set up a prize in his name for outstanding talents. He has written many works on theology, patriotism, politics, philosophy, poetry and arts in general.

His poetical works include Rindala, Ajmalou Minki? La. (More beautiful than you? No.), Ajrass Al Yasameen (The Jasmine Bells), Kitabou Al Ward (The Book of Roses), Doulza Qassa-ed Min Daftariha (Poems from her Notebook), Kama Al A-Mida (Like Pillars), Nahtoun Fi Al Daw’ (Carving in Light), Sharar (Sparks)…

He has written three plays in poetic form: The Daughter of Jephthah, The Magdalena and Cadmus.
His published prose includes Loubnan in Haka (If Lebanon were to Speak).

He has also published a number of lectures and articles

“Elissa?”
“Tell me your dream.”
The soldier had once before seen the Queen of Carthage from a distance, in her cavalcade robed in her black cloak, heading to the Temple of Aphrodite. Never before had he been blessed to have her voice address him.
Words failed him.
“Speak. Don’t hold anything back.”
“But…”

One day, a young girl told a poet from her country with whom she was in love without him knowing:
“This night, when dawn was about to break, I had a most improbable, yet beautiful dream!
“In the dream, I was a queen with a throne and a scepter, and I was visited by History.
“In the dream, History, my poet, wasn’t the heavy book I carry back and forth to school and whose pages struggle to cram knowledge into my little head. No! But, as the dream would have it, History was a woman and a city at once.
“In the dream, History visited me while I was in a crystal palace, my winter home which is eternally covered in snow. From its interior, I watched the beauty of nature without feeling the sting of cold.
Aye, History was two things: a beautiful young girl called Europe and an ancient city called Byblos.
